Lion Brand Pound of Love Review

Have you used this yarn before? Lion Brand Pound of Love is so amazing for several reasons. It’s relatively affordable, easy to use, amazing quality, versatile for just about any crochet project, and comes in crazy bulk! That means that one skein should cover almost any one (or even several) crochet project(s).

Maybe you’ve seen it around, but you’re not sure what to make out of it. The truth is, there are lots of possibilities with this yarn. You can use one skein to make a variety of smaller projects. OR, you can use 1 or 2 skeins to make a much larger project. You’ll find both kind of designs in this post.

As far as buying options for this yarn, it can be bought in store at Joann, or online on Amazon or Lion Brand. Suprisingly (at the time of writing) the price on Amazon vs. Lion Brand was exactly the same. So if you have prime shipping, I would go with that option! 😉

Is pound of love yarn good for blankets?

Yes, Pound of Love is a great choice for making blankets! In fact, you will find quite a few blanket patterns in this post. Pound of Love comes in several perfect baby colors if you are looking to make baby blankets. Really though, it has a wide selection of pastels and darker hues, so there’s something for everyone!

In addition, the weight of this yarn makes it great for blankets. Because the ball is so big (1 pound!) If you want to make a good sized blanket, you will need more than one skein. But you probably won’t need 10+ skeins like you would with other yarn!
